It is the first hospital in Fairfield County (CT) to be integrated into the Hartford HealthCare network. As a destination tertiary care center, it is served by HHC’s LIFE STAR air ambulance.

 

St. Vincent’s Medical Center is seeking Chief of Colorectal Surgery who is Board Certified in General Surgery and fellowship trained in colorectal surgery with additional robotics experience. The Surgeon will provide surgical consultation and care to individuals needing assistance in the management of diverse colorectal diseases including complex anorectal disease, inflammatory bowel disease and cancer treatment. Ideal applicants would have the appropriate leadership skills and 7+ years of clinical experience in colorectal practice although all other suitable applicants will be welcomed. Dedication to team building and participation in strategic programmatic growth initiatives are essential to the successful applicant.

 

·       Develop and lead a growing colorectal program at HHC’s destination tertiary care facility in Fairfield County

·       Teaching and mentoring all levels of surgical trainees

·       Participating in quality, safety and education for all staff and participate in committees

·       Joining a growing and financially secure physician-led organization with best-in-class operations and business management.

·       Participating in call to assist our acute care surgery team in the management of complex colorectal emergencies as needed and scheduled

·       To work closely with the Chair of the Department of Surgery on community outreach initiatives and innovative clinical redesign projects

·       Participating in the educational and administrative activities of HHC’s Digestive Health Institute

·       Enjoying access to the Hartford HealthCare Leadership Development Institute, with intensive leadership training program designed specifically for physician leaders.
