Hartford HealthCare, the largest and most comprehensive healthcare system in Connecticut, has a new growth opportunity for an Oncology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, to join our cohesive team to provide value-based care to patients in practice-based settings in Hartford Healthcare’s East Regionwhich is ideally located close to the picturesque Connecticut and Rhode Island Shoreline, and Mystic Seaport.  

Some highlights of this opportunity include:

Oncology Physician Assistant’s and Nurse Practitioners provide value-based care in an ambulatory setting, and will be involved in triage and the spectrum of outpatient management including, but not limited to the following:  Benign hematology visits, sick/urgent visits, chemotherapy education/teach visits, bone marrow aspirations, overseeing infusion follow up appointments, and ongoing survivorship care.

Sites in the East Region include our Windham, Plainfield, Norwich and Waterford practices

·        Eligibility to be licensed in Connecticut as a Physician Assistant (PA), or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), is required.

·        Eligibility to be certified as a Physician Assistant (PA), or National Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP), or Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP) is required.

·        Chemotherapy Biotherapy provider card

·        Oncology experience as a PA, NP, or RN is preferred.
