OB/GYN – Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS)

Join an 868-bed tertiary academic center and the flagship hospital for Hartford HealthCare, a $4 billion health system and the second largest employer in CT. 

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Hartford Hospital is seeking a full-time General Obstetrician and Gynecologist to provide MIGS subspecialty care in both inpatient and ambulatory settings, including actively participating in the educational and clinical training of residents and medical students. This physician will join a department that provides safe, high-quality, cost-effective obstetrical and gynecological care using evidence-based medicine and best practices. Physicians in this role will participate in gynecology service coverage, surgical procedures, and ambulatory care. Obstetrics is not mandatory. The ideal candidate would lead the development of a comprehensive program to address the unmet needs of people with endometriosis. In addition to outpatient care in our hospital-based clinic, there are opportunities for ambulatory time at our affiliated community health centers. Our multi-disciplinary team includes OB/GYN generalists, specialists in Maternal-Fetal Medicine, MIGS, Urogynecology, Gyn Oncology, Complex Family Planning, and Gender Health, along with Certified Nurse Midwives, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and Genetic Counselors.

Qualifications:

• Applicants must possess an MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school and have or be eligible to obtain a Connecticut Medical License

• Applicants must be board certified or be an active candidate for board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology

• Applicants must have completed a Fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS) or a similar program, or have extensive experience in MIGS

• Fluency in Spanish, or languages other than English, is highly desirable but not required
